Final track list for "Welcome To My World"
Rosie has made a couple changes to the track listing of the
forthcoming "Welcome To My World" CD The "Soul Central Vocal Mix" of "Closer
Than Close" has been dropped in favor of "MK's Vocal
Respray" version of the song. More excitingly is the inclusion of Rosie's
Funk Inspired Reggae tribute to the Beatles, a cover version of "Yesterday".

MK Remixes New Rosie Gaines Single For SuSu/Concept
Records!
US House don MK is back on the remix scene once again as he
currently remixes the A-Side of the re-release of Rosie Gaines
smash hit single 'Closer Than Close' for the
legendary house imprint SuSu/Concept Records. Fans of the
MK sound won't be disappointed as he turns out a
traditional MK Classic Mix as well as a Dark Dub
for Ms Gaines. Rosie has described the classic mix as
'funkier than a sackful of grandaddies!!'. Other mixes are due in from
T-Total, Sticky & Beatmasters
(Radio Edit).

Manifesto Mag's "Welcome To My World" Review
Forthcoming From suSU is the much anticipated new set from Rosie Gaines that
lovers of mid-tempo soul will simply just adore. On top form vocally
there's some terrific cuts on show including "Welcome To My World" "Just A
Moment Away" "Sun Moon" and the slightly more snappy mid-pacer "Number 1"
any of which radio will lap up with gusto. Two stunning ballads "I Do"
and "Sudden Moves" are pretty special too. The slightly more upbeat
"Got To Have You" is an edgy little dancer and a couple of remixes of "Sun
Moon" and "Mama Soul" with a reggae'ish feel on the bass line complete an
impressive package.

Warriors) working on his own and under his own name, coupled with the writing
and vocal talents of our own Grammy nominated and
Mobo award winning
Rosie Gaines. The "Original Sin City Mix" comes with turbo
sized bass lines which are sure to destroy dance floors around the country.
There’s the "Metro Instrumental Mix" for those that prefer it more minimal. This is the sound
of disco, R&B and electronica that's been rolled, licked and lit with precision.

'You Gave Me Freedom'.
Monday 23rd February sees the long awaited release of Rosie
Gaines' new album 'You Gave
Me Freedom'.
The 14 track set is entirely self-produced and was recorded at Rosie's home
studio in LA.
The lead cut 'I
Can't Get You Off My Mind' is fast becoming a favorite on the modern
soul scene and Blues & Soul magazine awarded the album 5/5 and Album of
the Week in their latest issue.
Other tracks that have been highlighted include the 'sensual ballad' 'Wanna
Be', the 'achingly poignant' 'In
Spirit' and 'New
Beginning' dripping in P-Funk attitude.

"You Gave Me Freedom"
- Rosie Gaines resumes her recording career with a new self-produced
collection "You Gave Me Freedom".
It's her first major album since her Motown 'Closer
Than Close' release – the album which led to her 250,000-selling
remix single of the title track in 1998.
"You Gave Me Freedom" is a 14-song set written, arranged, performed
and produced by Rosie.
The California-based vocalist and keyboard player, who established
herself as a key member of Prince's New Power Generation with her
powerful vocals on such songs as ‘Diamonds
and Pearls' and ‘Nothing
Compares 2 U', has been writing constantly over the past five years.
She has written a Grammy Award-winning song for Patti Labelle and has
also written material for Mavis Staples.
She was featured as a guest with Snoop Dogg on the 2002 Bootsy Collins
album ‘Play
With Bootsy', and several of the tracks on the new album have a
definite P-funk influence.
In recent months the opening cut from the album, ‘I
Can't Get You Off My Mind', has become a firm favorite of UK soul
DJs following its inclusion on the Hidden Beach compilation ‘Hidden
Hits'.
The album, which is licensed to
Dome via
Rosie's own production company Dredlix Music, is attracting airplay on a
number of cuts, including the exquisitely soulful ‘Honeychild'
and the steamy sexuality of ‘Wanna
Be'. Also featured is Rosie's own take on ‘My
Man', the classic song long associated with Billie Holiday.
